Diego El Cigala’s Romani heritage remains at the core of his borderless music, expressed through his beautiful voice and passionate interpretations.

The Chan Centre at UBC, in collaboration with the Canadian Romani Alliance and Vancouver’s Roma community, present an evening of dialogue celebrating Romani cultural identity.

Speakers from the local Roma community will engage wide range of issues pertaining to human rights, forced migration, oppression and the deconstruction of Gypsy stereotypes.

Preshow welcoming by local Roma musicians including Lache Cercel (violin) at 6:30 PM
