Free event for Laurie Anderson ticket holders. Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Presented by the Chan Centre

In this pre-show talk, author Dina Del Bucchia takes a look at the impact and influence that Laurie Anderson has had on the literary world. Moving from page to stage, Anderson has continued to engage both readers and in-person audiences with varied creative practices. This talk focuses not on academic analysis of the work, but rather on: ideas, expression, craft, creative practice, how artists look at themselves, and how they ultimately arrive in the places that allow them to create.

Del Bucchia is the author of three collections of poetry and one collection of short stories, and is the artistic director of the Real Vancouver Writers’ Series. She performs comedy around the city, and currently teaches a course in writing comedic forms in the Creative Writing department here at UBC.

For Laurie Anderson: All the Things I Lost in the Flood ticket holders only, free to attend. Space is limited and first-come, first-served.
