Lights, camera, action! Become a movie director and music producer in this full-day camp! Campers will explore the fundamentals of music by learning to play the ukulele and recording music using Garageband. In the afternoons, campers will work in small groups to produce, film, and edit their own stop-motion animations using LEGO and Clay. On the final day, campers can invite their friends and family to a film screening of their animations, complete with their very own music! Are you ready for the spotlight?

Note to parents/guardians:

No prior experience in music, animation, or Garageband is required. Some tablet familiarity is helpful but not required. All materials and instruments will be provided.

For returning campers who loved Cue the Music in Summer 2025, this is a great next level to introduce new concepts in stop-motion animation!

What can you expect from this camp?

A typical camp week will introduce campers to concepts in music and stop-motion animation. In the mornings, we’ll explore music theory by playing the ukulele and composing film scores using Garageband. In the afternoons, campers will work in groups of 2-3 to explore stop-motion techniques and produce their own short film using Stop Motion Studio.

Parents/guardians, siblings, and friends are invited to the Friday afternoon showcase, where campers share their projects and demonstrate what they’ve learned! This is an opportunity for campers to perform one of the ukulele songs they learned in camp and share their films on the big screen!

Digital music compositions and films will be emailed to parents/guardians within 3 days after the last day of camp.
