Bill Duthie Memorial Lecture with Adrienne Clarkson

Presented by the Vancouver Writers Festival in cooperation with the UBC Alma Mater Society and the Chan Centre
Meet Adrienne Clarkson, a Canadian cultural champion with a distinguished and influential career in broadcasting, journalism, the arts and public service. As one of our most innovative and well-known Governors General, Clarkson brought an incomparable passion and enthusiasm for Canada to her six years in office (1999 – 2005).
Clarkson will present stories from her newly published memoirs, Heart Matters, a frank collection of reminiscences and revelations that chronicles her childhood in Ottawa, her formative years as a university student, her decades as a celebrated journalist and her time as Governor General.
A gifted storyteller and an eloquent speaker, Clarkson will share her memories and wisdom with her signature grace, elegance and style.
