In this hour-long concert, the Somerset String Quartet outline 300 years of chamber music. From Haydn, considered the father of the string quartet, to Dvořák’s American Quartet, to the contemporary cultural juggernaut that is Walt Disney, this performance by the UBC School of Music’s resident student string quartet will showcase the works that left their imprint on history.
