The Symphonic Wind Ensemble, which is open to Music and other university students by audition, plays four concerts on campus each year. This group also hosts an annual band festival, attracting talented high school students from all over British Columbia. Wind Ensemble players also take part in U.B.C. convocation ceremonies and regularly tour the province (and occasionally the United States). This ensemble is dedicated to performing the finest and most challenging wind repertoire.
FREE – Tickets will be issued from the Chan Centre Ticket Office on the day of the performance beginning at noon. Arrive early to avoid disappointment.
