UBC Early Music Ensemble: Such Sweet Sorrow
A programme of cantatas and concertos featuring UBC Early Music Ensembles and the Baroque Mentorship Orchestra led by Alexander Weimann.
The UBC Early Music Ensemble is a mixed instrumental/vocal ensemble specializing in the performance of music from the Medieval, Renaissance, and Baroque eras.
The Baroque Mentorship Orchestra is led by Alexander Weimann and consists of a core of string players (four violins, two violas, and two cellos) plus a harpsichordist; additional players, such as wind instrumentalists, might also join if the repertoire is appropriate. Part of the UBC Baroque Mentorship programme which is a collaboration between UBC, Pacific Baroque Orchestra, and Early Music Vancouver
