Ticketing Policy

Chan Centre Members enjoy the benefits of flexibility when they purchase tickets. All registered Members may exchange their tickets for another show within the Chan Centre season.

Otherwise, all tickets are final sale unless they meet the following conditions:

• If your event is rescheduled, your tickets with the original date will still be valid. Ticket holders will be notified of the change in date and will be given an opportunity to request a full refund if the new date does not work with their schedule within a limited timeframe.
• If your event is cancelled, ticket holders will be notified of the cancelled date and automatically receive a full refund back to their original payment method. A Ticket Office Representative will be in touch if there are any issues with processing a refund.
• If you are a Chan Centre Member, your Chan Centre-produced events can be exchanged for another for free. Not applicable to rental events.

We are unable to verify the legitimacy of any tickets purchased from a third party ticket seller. We strongly encourage patrons purchase tickets directly through https://tickets.ubc.ca, the Chan Centre Ticket Office or by phone at 604-822-2697. Tickets purchased through unofficial sales channels may be denied entry if proven to be fraudulent.

Barrier-Free Tickets

The Chan Centre for the Performing Arts offers a limited number of complimentary tickets for youth and youth groups  through the generous support of the Chan Family Foundation.

If you are an individual or a community/social group and would like to request discounted or complimentary tickets, please contact chancentre.marketing@ubc.ca.

Please note, barrier-free tickets are only applicable to concerts programmed by the Chan Centre and does not apply to events presented by organizations outside of the Chan Centre.

Memberships and Discounts

The Chan Centre for the Performing Arts offers Memberships that offer up to 20% off up to 2 tickets from each event of the Chan Centre’s season, as well as many other benefits. Check out the three tiers here. UBC staff members and those 30 & under can become Basic Members for free.

Group ticket rates may be offered to parties of 10 or more. Please contact Paul Sontz (paul.sontz@ubc.ca) to inquire about a group rate.

Each of the Chan Centre’s shows has a “Value Seating” section which includes discounted tickets for students and Indigenous peoples.
