Pray the Devil Back to Hell is the gripping account of a group of brave and visionary women who demanded peace for Liberia, a nation torn to shreds by decades of civil war.
The womens’ historic, yet unsung achievement finds voice in this eloquent documentary by Abigail E. Disney and Gini Reticker, with vocals by Angélique Kidjo.
Following the film screening, UBC student group, Africa Canada, will give a brief presentation on their initiative as well as lead a discussion on how Canadians can support and show solidarity with local women’s advocacy efforts in northern Uganda.
