Rizwan-Muazzam Qawwali

The nephews of the master Qawwali singer Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Rizwan and Muazzam have been performing together since the 1990s. Together, they continue the unbroken Qawwali legacy of their family that has flourished over five centuries.

With voices that “climb and swoop as if riding air currents,” (BBC) the brothers contribute to their uncle’s pioneering efforts to transcend cultural, language and religious barriers to bring to the world the devotional and vibrant music of the Sufi mystics.
