TOPIC:
Tools for the Modern Musician: Aural Learning + Improvisation
The ever-changing artistic landscape and job market requires increasingly adaptable skill sets of musicians in order to succeed. This highly interactive instrumental workshop helps participants develop two fundamental skills: aural learning and improvisation. Participants will learn how to approach improvisation through clear-cut and incremental steps, how to learn an entire song aurally through bite-sized phrases, and how to continue integrating these skills into their regular artistic practice.
ABOUT ARKAI:
Defying contemporary labels, ARKAI’s music fuses their classical virtuosity with the energy of a rock band, the spontaneity of a jazz combo, and the beauty of a string quartet. An awe-inspiring and heart-moving musical journey.
