The Vancouver Youth Symphony Orchestra (VYSO), British Columbia’s premier youth orchestra training program, is about to celebrate 90 years of extraordinary music education and performance!
285 talented young musicians in the senior, intermediate, junior and debut orchestras will present an afternoon performance of prominent orchestral selections, finishing with Vaughan Williams’ Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis for 225 strings and a massed orchestra performance of Tchaikovsky’s renowned 1812 Overture under the honoured direction of guest conductor Maestro Jonathan Girard.
