Marketing Support for Rental Clients
Thank you for choosing the Chan Centre for the Performing Arts as your event venue. Please be advised that marketing for rental events is the sole responsibility of the presenter. If your event is open to the public, we are able to help assist in its promotion in the following ways:
A web page for your event will be added to our online events calendar once the event has been confirmed and all necessary content has been provided.*
See the Website Event Form for content submission details. This form must be completed in full in order to have your event published on chancentre.com.
A text listing of your event, and a link to your event page on our website, will appear in one Chan Centre monthly e-newsletter, sent to approximately 30,000 opted-in recipients at the beginning of the month in which the event occurs. You can sign up to receive the e-news here. Due to the high volume of events at the Chan Centre, we are unable to send event-specific emails outside of our monthly e-newsletter.
Contests, ticket presales, and other special promotions can be considered for inclusion in our monthly e-newsletter on a case-by-case basis, depending on availability of space and with sufficient advanced notice. This information can also be shared on our social media channels (see below).
A digital slide featuring your event’s date, title, presentation info and image will be produced by the Chan Centre and featured on our digital signage system (lobby screens – active when events are occurring) beginning 4 weeks prior to your event. Your event will also be listed on the Chan Centre’s exterior marquee sign.

Printed promotional materials for your event can be mailed to the Chan Centre Ticket Office for display (Attn: Chan Centre Ticket Office, 6265 Crescent Rd, Vancouver, Canada V6T 1Z1). We can accept two 11” x 17” posters and up to 50 smaller flyers, postcards, or rackcards.
Please note that inclusion in Chan Centre marketing channels is not guaranteed, and may be subject to availability.
The Chan Centre’s ability to execute the above listed marketing support strongly relies on the quality of the material provided. High resolution images, brief and engaging videos, and succinct marketing copy are always preferred and easier for us to engage with. Please see our web event form for more details.
Marketing support is dependent on the current marketing needs of the Chan Centre’s own presentations and programming. Certain months of the year are much busier with a higher number of resident and rental events, making availability more challenging.
