One’s a tap prodigy. The other’s a piano virtuoso. Together, they create magic onstage.San Diego Union Tribune
Pianist and composer Conrad Tao (he/him), and choreographer and dancer Caleb Teicher, (they/them) have long been famous for their respective talents. But in merging their two disciplines—piano and tap—they have created a new, exhilarating offering that inspires and expands the concept of the concert experience.
With Counterpoint, Tao, a recipient of the Avery Fisher Career Grant, and Teicher, winner of two Bessie Awards, have created an experience “unexpectedly fresh and suffused with joy.” (NPR) With music that spans from Bach to Gershwin, we invite you to step (or tap!) out of your routine and broaden your sonic horizons.
