Central Conservatory Chinese Orchestra – Spring Gala

Presented by the Canada-China Cultural Development Association and Stage One Academy Inc.

Founded under the renowned Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing during the 1960s, the Central Conservatory Chinese Orchestra (CCCO) performs on traditional Chinese instruments including the erhu (two-string Chinese violin), dizi (Chinese bamboo flute), guqin (seven-string Chinese zither) and others.

The orchestra is made up of outstanding teachers, graduates and students from the Conservatory. In 2013, they performed a series of extremely successful shows as part of the international music festivals in the Republic of Bulgaria, the Republic of Macedonia, and the Slovak Republic.
