Presented by the Chan Centre

Leading up to the Chan Centre’s show featuring Irish musical group The Gloaming, a number of students have created presentations for a fun and informal event inspired by the popular PechaKucha format. Student presentations will be composed of 20 images shown for 20 seconds each as presenters talk along, on topics related to Ireland, the Irish experience, and perspectives on claiming cultural identity through language and the arts. Join us for a casual evening of food, drink and discussion!

PRESENTATIONS:

Sarah Higgins, Bonya Agus Im (Milk and Butter): the role of Irish culture and tradition
William Rubel, Radical Aesthetics in William Blake’s ‘Vision of the Last Judgment
Desiree Fa, Humans of the Occupy Movement
and more!

Pathways to Ireland is presented in conjunction with a concert featuring Ireland’s The Gloaming, Nov 15 at the Chan Centre
