Join us for a special evening with the UBC Symphony Orchestra featuring the winner of the 2024 UBC Concerto Competition, saxophonist Harry Xie (DPMS ’24) who will perform Henri Tomasi’s Concerto for Alto Saxophone.
Our talented students will also perform other pieces yet to be confirmed. Don’t miss this exciting program led by conductor Jaelem Bhate (MMus ’19).
The UBC Symphony Orchestra (UBCSO) is a 90-member full symphony orchestra that performs symphonic works from the 18th century to the present day. It presents six regular concerts each academic year at the world-class Chan Centre for the Performing Arts and gives special performances both on and off campus.
