Soloists are Nicole Brooks soprano, Charlotte Beglinger mezzo-soprano, Matthew Gaskin tenor, and Scott Brooks bass. The University Singers and UBC Choral Union join the orchestra conducted by Jonathan Girard for this work universally famous for the “Ode to Joy”, which is sung in the final movement. Also on the program is the delightful “Classical” Symphony No. 1 by Sergei Prokofiev.
