The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra showcases its full colour sound under the sparkling acoustic canopy of the Chan Shun Concert Hall.

Maestro Zuohuang Chen, who has been hailed as a “conductor of extraordinary quality” leads the VSO in a program that pays tribute to the city’s multi-cultural mosaic. His VSO debut includes the premiere of Canadian composer Mark Armanini’s haunting “Of Wind and Water,” which features pipa soloist Qui Xia He. Other highlights include Marc-Andre Hamelin’s lyrical interpretation of Saint-Saëns’ Second Piano Concerto and a grand tour through Mussorgsky’s “Pictures at an Exhibition.”
