Karen Gomyo plays Mendelssohn

Popular VSO guest conductor Jun Märkl returns to conduct a program featuring violin virtuoso Karen Gomyo performing one of the greatest Romantic compositions of them all, Mendelssohn’s deeply sensitive and beautiful Violin Concerto.

The Classical Symphony of Sergei Prokofiev, one of the twentieth century’s most important composers, is a remarkable work that harks back to the Classical style of Haydn and Mozart.
