In 2026, Downs released Cambias mi Mundo (You Change My World), her first album composed almost entirely of original songs. Downs was also recognized at the 2026 Latin Grammy Awards with a Lifetime Achievement Award for her “restless creative personality and visionary talent for experimentation and daring musical fusions,” noting that Cambias mi Mundo finds her at her “transformative creative peak.”
