An extraordinary musician, Barry Douglas was the first pianist to win the gold medal in the Tchaikovsky Competition since Van Cliburn in 1958. Since then, Douglas has risen to the top of the music world, performing and conducting with most of the world’s top orchestras. Don’t miss his performance of Beethoven’s magnificent Emperor Concerto, in a concert that also features Mendelssohn’s gorgeous Italian Symphony.
